SPOTLIGHT The Boeing Championship

The Boeing Championship at Sandestin has early commitments from golfing greats Craig Stadler, Peter Jacobsen and six past champions. The list of players turning 50 this year, which makes them eligible for this PGA Champions Tour event, is impressive: Nick Faldo, Mark O’Meara, Nick Price, Seve Ballesteros, Bernhard Langer and John Cook can come on board. This three-day, 54-hole competition, preceded by a two-day pro-am and a day of practice, runs May 28-June 3, with the trophy presentation Sunday on the 18th green at Raven Golf Club. Various charities in Northwest Florida will benefit from this event. Tee-offs begin at 8 a.m. each day.

General admission tickets for the Wednesday and Thursday pro-am are $10; Friday through Sunday championship rounds are $20; purchase a three-day champions pass for $50.
