Host with the Most
Creating a sanctuary for guests

Becoming a great host takes practice, but with these suggestions, you’ll be well on your way to becoming just that—a host who facilitates a stay to remember.
Take Stock
Copious bath towels and blankets in guest spaces are always appreciated, and providing a choice of pillows goes a long way to helping picky sleepers feel at home. Magazines and books can keep guests occupied at night and during downtime. Chilled water with glasses is always a nice touch to make your guests feel special. You could even infuse a pitcher with citrus, cucumber, or another fruity concoction.
The General Store
Provide a stylish basket in your guest’s room with often-overlooked essentials. Include items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, hand and body lotions, disposable razors, a USB-C phone charger, over-the-counter medications, and other items guests may have forgotten.
Facilitate a Connection
Share your Wi-Fi details with a text, notecard, or QR code upon your guest’s arrival. Guests will appreciate not having to ask for this information, and it gives them one less thing to worry about when they arrive.
Daily Specials
Place some local brochures or magazines in the living area or guest rooms to allow guests some choice of their activities during their stay. Also, you might place menus from your favorite restaurants to entice your guests with some local cuisine. Sharing your favorite restaurants, bars, and cafés with your guests will ensure that their experiences are fulfilling and unique.
Take the Temperature
The house temperature that your guests prefer may conflict with your household’s. Make certain that you inform your guests of the temperature so that, if necessary, you can accommodate their rooms with fans or space heaters to make them more comfortable.
