On the Wings of Fun

Celebrate the migration of the monarch butterfly at the 14th Annual Flutterby Festival, a Beaches of South Walton Autumn Tides event to be held on Saturday, Oct. 13, and Sunday, Oct. 14. Brought to you by the Cultural Arts Association, Flutterby abounds with food, arts and crafts, workshops, creative children’s interactive art projects, a butterfly garden and much more.

The festival also features 50 local artists, including an exclusive Cultural Arts Association member art exhibit. All artists will be on hand to answer questions and sell their creations during the event, which will be held at Gulf Place in the heart of Santa Rosa Beach, at the corner of Highways 30A and 393, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Children are invited to don their most creative wings in celebration of the glorious Methuselah generation monarch butterfly, which travels up to 2,800 miles during its annual exodus to Mexico. Admission is free, but donations are gladly accepted. For more information, visit culturalartsassociation.org or call (850) 622-5970.
