It’s time for the second annual Tutu Trot. The Tutu Trot is a public 5k Run/Walk on May 7 in beautiful Hammock Bay in Freeport, Florida. This event will benefit Haven House and Matrix Community Outreach Center.

All entries are $35 and include a t-shirt and one raffle entry for a prize that includes a two night stay at Hotel Effie in Sandestin, breakfast for two at Ovide and a $300 Gift Certificate to Lululemon. Participation in the race is not required to enter the raffle. The option to purchase raffle tickets without joining the run/walk is available. You do not have to be present to win.

Breakfast for racers and families will be provided by Bookies Breakfast and Infinity Chef. Old Pelican Brewery will have cold beer at the General Store and musical entertainment will be provided by Dion Jones and the Neon Tears. Also, participants and attendees will be able to capture the fun of the day in the EPIC photo booth.

There will be custom age group award medals for both the 5K Run and Walk. This year, there will be a professional timing system operated by International Running Co. The course starts out and ends on flat neighborhood streets. The middle of the course is on Hammock Bay’s wooded trails and a path around the Freeport Sports Complex.

The race will start on the Y in the street in between the Hammock Bay General Store and the ClubHouse. As you arrive at the event address, 425 Victory Blvd in Freeport, traffic control will direct you to free parking.

The mission of the Tutu Trot is to bring the community together in a fun outdoors event where everyone can run or walk in tutus together while also raising funds for charities that are designed to benefit or uplift mankind mentally, morally, or physically.

This year will be a color run and promises to be a vibrant event. Register for the event online or on the morning of the race. Registration will begin at 6:30 a.m. Race kicks off at 8 a.m.
