The first fast-casual dining concept of its kind in Destin, ORO Italian Street Food opens at City Food Hall
ORO Italian Street Food, the highly anticipated authentic Italian street food dining concept – the first of its kind for Destin – hosted an exclusive Friends & Family Night on June 15, marking a successful prelude to their official grand opening on Thursday, June 22 at City Food Hall, located in Destin Commons. The grand opening celebration featured a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Destin Chamber of Commerce at 4 p.m., followed by a two-hour public event from 4–6 p.m.
The Friends & Family Night, an invite-only event, welcomed esteemed guests, including local media, influencers, and close acquaintances and city officials, for an exclusive preview of ORO Italian Street Food. Attendees were treated to a delightful culinary experience, indulging in a range of signature menu items meticulously crafted by the husband and wife duo, chefs Massimo and Elisabetta Tundo. The event showcased the restaurant’s commitment to delivering the most authentic Italian street food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Elisabetta Tundo, Chef and Owner of ORO Italian Street Food, expressed her excitement, saying, “We were thrilled to share the ORO experience with our friends, family, and esteemed guests during the Friends & Family Night. The grand opening on Thursday, June 22 kicked off with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4 p.m., led by the Destin Chamber of Commerce, symbolizing ORO Italian Street Food’s commitment to becoming an integral part of the local business community. Following the ceremony, the restaurant welcomed guests to enjoy samples of signature menu items and a limited-time specialty craft cocktail exclusively crafted by the City Food Hall Bar.
Destin Chamber of Commerce CEO, Shane Moody, also praised the restaurant’s dedication to culinary excellence, stating, “ORO Italian Street Food adds an exciting new dimension to our local dining scene. We are excited they chose Destin for their newest location and look forward to their official grand opening.”
Attendees had the opportunity to meet the talented chefs and owners, Massimo and Elisabetta Tundo, who were present to greet and interact with guests throughout the event.
