Niceville Natives Bring Expert Dermatology Care to the Community

Dermatology Specialists of Florida opens it’s 14th location in the panhandle

With offices spanning from Gulf Breeze to Tallahassee, Dermatology Specialists of Florida aims to be at the top of your mind when you seek dermatological services. Now, Niceville residents can stay in their own neighborhood with the newest practice open five days a week at 550 Highway 85 Suite A.

The office, which opened June 3, 2024, offers comprehensive dermatology services ranging from comprehensive skin exams, diagnosis and treatment for chronic skin conditions and skin cancers to Mohs micrographic surgery.

Longtime Dermatology Specialists physician owner, Dr. Michael Stickler will lead the team.

Dr. Stickler is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and among the first in the nation to be double certified in dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery.

He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for Mohs Surgery.

“I see patients in Santa Rosa Beach, Panama City Beach, Ft Walton Beach and now, Niceville, my hometown,” Dr. Stickler said. “I’m excited to be providing care in the community where my family lives and my three sons attend school.”

A new addition to the Dermatology Specialists team is Certified Physician Assistant Allison Herman, PA-C.

PA Herman received her master of science in physician assistant studies and her bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary medical sciences from Florida State University, earning magna cum laude honors in both programs. Additionally, she received her master’s degree in medical sciences from the University of South Florida.

While she may be new to the practice, she’s not new to the area, having been born and raised on the Emerald Coast.

“Returning to Niceville, where I was raised, to work full-time as a dermatology physician assistant on Dr. Stickler’s team has been incredibly rewarding,” PA Herman said. “It’s a privilege to serve the community that means so much to me and contribute to its health and well-being.”
