As Northwest Florida continues to grow, so does the region’s need for accessible, high-quality skin care. Dermatology Specialists of Florida is helping meet that demand with the opening of its newest office inside the FSU/Tallahassee Memorial Health Medical Clinic in Panama City Beach.

“We’re excited to expand our partnership within the FSU/TMH Medical Clinic and provide residents and visitors with a convenient new option for exceptional dermatology care,” says Dr. Jon Ward, a double board-certified dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon who founded Dermatology Specialists of Florida in 2006. “This location allows us to deliver a full range of skin health services in a modern, patient-centered environment.”

The new facility, located at 1002 N. Arnold Road (Highway 79), Suite 106, spans 2,638 square feet. Its central location just north of Panama City Beach Parkway allows both year-round residents and seasonal visitors to access convenient dermatologic care without navigating beachside congestion or extended travel times.

Patients who visit the new office can look forward to a full suite of services, including routine dermatology care such as the evaluation and treatment of acne, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, and other skin conditions, as well as a range of cosmetic services aimed at rejuvenation, aesthetic enhancements, and long-term skin health. The clinic will also provide comprehensive, advanced care for skin cancer, including thorough skin exams, biopsies, liquid nitrogen treatment, excisions, and topical therapies.

For patients requiring Mohs micrographic surgery, care will be seamlessly coordinated at nearby Panama City Beach and Watersound Origins locations, where procedures are performed by double board-certified dermatologists and Mohs surgeons. This approach ensures patients receive the highest level of specialized care in dedicated surgical settings, while continuing their dermatologic care close to home.

Racquel Marin, PA-C

Leading patient care at the new clinic is Racquel Marin, who holds a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Duke University.

“I’m excited to be joining Dermatology Specialists of Florida at a time of meaningful growth for the practice,” Racquel says. “My goal is to provide thoughtful, compassionate care while building lasting relationships with patients and helping ensure they feel heard, understood, and confident in their skin health.”

Drawing on her prior clinical experience in both dermatology and ophthalmology, Racquel has developed a philosophy of care rooted in comprehensive evaluation, compassion, and individualized treatment. She prioritizes active listening, validating her patients’ concerns, and delivering care with empathy, clarity, and attention to detail.

Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Racquel is licensed in the state of Florida and has completed an extensive hands-on training program with Dermatology Specialists of Florida’s board-certified dermatologists.

Racquel’s arrival comes at a pivotal moment of growth for the practice, which Dr. Ward has built into a network of more than 50 providers and 250 team members across Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi. The Panama City Beach office will become the practice’s fifteenth Florida location.

“Expanding our footprint allows us to continue our mission of making high-quality dermatologic care more accessible to the communities we serve,” Dr. Ward says. “As we celebrate this milestone, we remain focused on maintaining the same level of experience, knowledge, and commitment to personalized care that has defined our practice for the past 20 years.”
