Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation Presents 11th Annual Wine Walkabout
Cheers to California wines, great food, wine-themed party games, live music, silent auction — all to benefit MKAF and its local ArtReach initiatives

DESTIN, FL — (October 16, 2023) Ready for a mental travel trip? French winemaker Jean-Charles Boisset says tasting wine is “freedom” — meaning each sip allows the taster the “mystical” ability to “travel places.” Lucky for us, the next installment of the MKAF Artful Dining Series is right here in Destin at Ruth’s Chris Steak House on Thursday, Nov. 9 at 5:30 p.m.
The 11th Annual Wine Walkabout allows wine and food lovers “meet” notable California vintages from Mondavi Sisters, Tournesol, Oakville Ranch, Silver Trident and The Lerner Project and adventurous Australian wines from Molly Dooker.
Paired with these delicious wines will be delicious culinary bites prepared by Chef Ruston Johnson and his culinary crew at Ruth’s Chris.
Eventgoers will enjoy live music by Michael J Thomas, a wine pull wall featuring 100 wines, a cork raffle, a silent auction of fabulous experiential packages including original art travel trips, wine dinners, spa visits, and more.
Plus, an all-vintner wine dinner will follow the Walkabout (for an additional cost). Each of the four courses will be paired with a different vintner. Diners also will have an opportunity to purchase wines at special rates with a portion of the proceeds benefiting MKAF.
This event is about raising funds and awareness for Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation. Staff members will be in attendance to talk about MKAF’s mission and the many ways guests can support ArtsReach, the organization’s education outreach program that includes the ground-breaking arts therapy program Warrior Arts, Arts for All Abilities, and arts education outreach throughout Okaloosa, Walton, and Bay Counties.
Tickets are $95 per person. MKAF members save 10 percent. Tickets to the Walkabout and Dinner are $295 per person. To purchase tickets to the 11th Annual Wine Walkabout, visit MKAF.org.
